During intervals the club members watched good movies and discussed them.They also made a short movie titled MAATTAM(=transition/change).It was very different from similar efforts by other movie makers because its cast,direction,camera and all other work before its post production activities were done by the students and teachers themselves.All of them were novices.There was no screenplay although a girl by name Ramseena tried to prepare one.No story had been prepared either.The only idea was to shoot the scenes that show some moments from the life of a poor higher secondary student,preferably a girl.It was also decided not to select any fair complexioned student with the so-called aristocratic features.Manju,a second year science student was found suitable for the role.Mrs.Sosamma,a Laboratory Assistant, was requested to do the role of Manju's mother.Manju had no experience in acting at all.

More than the script and the cast,the way of presentation and style of frames makes some different from others.It's a nice job.
